Amy and Kevin’s story began on August 2nd, 2020, when they went for their very first walk together on Braveheart Hill in the Curragh. Neither of them knew it then, but that walk marked the start of a love that would shape the rest of their lives.
Braveheart Hill would later become an even more meaningful place for them. It was there, surrounded by their children, that Kevin dropped to one knee and asked Amy to marry him. The couple had brought the children up the hill to share the exciting news that their family was growing, they were expecting their youngest child. Amy held the baby scan in her hands, and when she turned around, Kevin was down on one knee. Between happy tears and laughter, she said “yes,” before the couple revealed the joyful news of the pregnancy. It was, in Amy’s words, “planned perfectly.”
WEDDING PLANNING
When it came to wedding planning, Amy embraced every detail with excitement and organization, pouring her heart into making the day everything they had dreamed of. Kevin, ever the easy going partner, went happily with the flow, leaving Amy to shine in her element.
The couple chose the Woodford Dolmen Hotel for their celebration. Amy had attended a wedding there before and had heard nothing but glowing recommendations. Their wedding coordinator, Clare, made the experience even more memorable. Offering support, laughter, and friendship along the way. Saying goodbye after the big day felt bittersweet, but Amy and Kevin knew it wasn’t really goodbye, more a “see you later.”

SPECIAL MOMENTS
Among the many treasured moments, two stand out most vividly for Amy, the moment she and Kevin saw each other at the church for the first time that day, and the private, romantic photos they shared on Braveheart Hill. Just the two of them, back where their love story began.
WORD OF ADVICE FROM THE BRIDE
For couples preparing for their own big day, Amy offers heartfelt advice.
“The day goes by so fast!! Enjoy every moment Together! It can be overwhelming trying to get around to everyone. Definitely find a few moments throughout the day and night to just soak it all in just the two of you.”
She also reminds couples to slow down and soak it all in:
“The day goes by so fast. Find moments throughout the day and night to just be with each other. This day is about the two of you, so take it all in together. Wedding planning can be overwhelming at times, but enjoy the process, the build-up, and the magic of the day itself. And be prepared—the wedding blues are real! After all that planning, the day suddenly flies by, and then it’s over. But every second is worth it.”
For Amy and Kevin, their wedding day was the perfect celebration of a love story that began on a hilltop walk and one that will continue to grow for a lifetime to come.
