What began as a few casual exchanges quickly grew into something lasting. From those first messages to a dreamy proposal under fairy lights, their journey to “I do” has been filled with romance, laughter and heartfelt moments.
A Forest Proposal Straight Out of a Fairy Tale
When Mícheál decided it was time to pop the question, he didn’t hold back. He planned an intimate picnic in the forest, surrounded by twinkling lights strung through the trees and all of Aisling’s favourite things. The scene was magical and deeply personal, exactly what she would have dreamed of. As if that wasn’t enough, the evening continued with a surprise dinner at her favourite restaurant. Romantic, thoughtful, and completely unforgettable.
Planning Through a Pandemic
With a vision in mind, Aisling took charge of the wedding planning, with Mícheál chiming in on the big decisions. Everything was going smoothly until the world came to a halt. Just four months before their big day, the couple made the tough decision to postpone their wedding to the following year due to the pandemic.
It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one. Through it all, they leaned on each other, showing the kind of strength and partnership that would no doubt carry them through married life. It wasn’t an easy decision, but it was the right one.
A Venue That Felt Like Home
When the day finally arrived, Aisling and Mícheál tied the knot at the beautiful Woodford Dolmen Hotel, surrounded by family and friends. They chose a non-religious ceremony that reflected their personalities that was heartfelt and authentic to them.
