If we want a healthier living environment it is important to reduce our food and water usage as it reduces the energy required to process and deliver it to homes, businesses, farms and communities, which in turn, helps to reduce pollution and conserve fuel resources. At the Woodford Dolmen Hotel we know the importance of this and are learning to keep our limited supply of water and food pure and away from pollution.

We are working on initiatives to reduce our food waste and avoid excessive carbon or water usage amongst our suppliers.
The maintenance team at the Woodford Dolmen monitor and measure our water consumption on a regular basis, allowing us to make the required adjustments to stay on track with our sustainability goals.
We have rainwater collection points in place on the hotel grounds. This water is used by the gardeners for watering flowerbeds & gardens during hot & dry seasons.
We currently work with local suppliers which is reducing our foods air miles and are continuously working on new initiatives to partner with local suppliers that have the same sustainable values as we do.
