At Woodford Dolmen Hotel Chef Richards creates appetizing menus offering a carefully-selected choice of dishes using only the freshest local market produce and fresh herbs from the Chef’s own herb garden.
Executive Head Chef Laurence Richards began his career at the prestigious London eaterie Brown’s Hotel, where he quickly moved up the ranks from commis chef to chef gardmanger while training with Jamie Oliver, who also started his career there.
He then moved to the London’s United Oxford and Cambridge Gentlemen’s Club, where he held the position of sous chef, where he “cooked for Royalty and the English gentry”. After this, he spent time working in Canada’s finest Steak House, Hy’s Steak House, where he perfected the art of cooking the perfect steak.
In Ireland, he has worked in the Hilton Hotel Dublin, the Talbot Hotel and the Tulfarris Hotel & Golf Resort before moving to the Woodford Dolmen and bringing his expert knowledge of American, French and British Cuisine.
